  • Operationally responsible for the management and strategy of acute services within the hospital including critical care, acute admissions and outreach services, leading on service improvements and business development within these areas;
  • Recruited and developed nursing staff and critical care RMOs including set up of a local RMO database to successfully reduce agency usage within the department;

  • Worked  closely  with  consultants  and  clinical  staff  specialising  in  orthopaedics,  gynaecology, gastroenterology, dermatology, general, ophthalmology and plastic surgery;
  • Proficiently ensured a robust clinical governance framework, hospital risk management and deployment of processes effectively; direct infection prevention control and ensured compliance with appropriate regulatory and best practice frameworks.
