Senior Acute Contracts Manager

The Finegreen Group is working in partnership with an NHS Clinical Commissioning Group based in the Midlands that requires a Senior Acute Contracts Manager on an interim basis for a 3-6 month contract commencing in June.

As a Senior Contract Manager you will work as part of a dynamic team in delivering an effective service to the CCG ensuring services meet operational needs.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Line management of contract manager and contract support;
  • Managing performance of the contracts aligned to this role;
  • Leading in negotiations for aligned acute contract(s) on behalf of CCGs and associates;
  • Management of financial/quality/performance risk related to acute contract delivery;
  • Prioritising allocation of staff resource in the team as required;
  • Supporting acute care pathway changes developed by CCGs and negotiation of these changes ensuring they are reflected in the acute contracts with providers;
  • Deputising for the Account Director;
  • Assisting in the development and agreement of negotiation strategies that reflect CCG priorities and tactics to be employed to deliver robust affordable contracts;
  • Developing effective commissioning relationships with providers;
  • Managing the contractual governance process for each contract (PCE, FIG, CQG) is effectively implemented to comply delivery;
  • Playing a role in the relationship management with the aligned CCG federation / collaboration to understand the commissioning intentions for contracting priorities;
  • Producing regular reports to CCGs on the performance of the contract and key mitigating actions.
