I am recruiting for a Senior Quality Assurance and Systems Manager for a period of 3 - 6 months while the client recruits to the permanent post. This is a band 8a post at £29.92 per hour. 

Key Responsibilties:

  • Lead the internal quality assurance processes including coordinating and undertaking quality assurance visits (which are in effect mini inspections) including joint quality assurance visits with commissioners;
  • Lead the quality systems function including management of the Datix system, Harm Free Care/Safety Thermometer system, Friends and Family system and Life QI (quality improvement system) – this role will be working with improvement leads to lead the development and operation of systems to support improvement; 
  • Production of a range of quality surveillance reports (including weekly quality bulletins and monthly quality surveillance reports);
  • Lead the day to day management of the quality assurance team and quality systems team;
  • Lead the monitoring of compliance with CQUINs – a new system will be required to track compliance with CQUINs working with our Senior Contracts Manager;
  • Development and then leadership of a Quality Insight function – a gateway process for quality related data being sent externally such as Schedule 4 and Schedule 6 submissions to commissioners working with our Senior Contracts Manager;
  • Lead the development of the Quality Account; 

The post holder will manage the Quality Assurance Team (Band 7 Quality Assurance Manager, Band 5 Quality Assurance Coordinator and 2 Band 4 Quality Assurance Administrators) and Quality Systems Team (Band 7 Quality Systems Manager, Band 5 Quality Systems Analyst, Band 5 Quality Systems Coordinator and 4 Band 3 Quality Systems Administrators).

I am looking for a strong governance candidate, able to come into the role and take on day to day management quickly and take forward some of the development work identified above and deliver on this quickly.
