Finegreen are recruiting on behalf of a private independent living/care home operator for a Head of Sales. The role is homebased, however you will be expected to work in the Head Office in the West Midlands one day per week and the rest of the week will be spent in various site locations.

The role will involve you working closely with the Head of Marketing and the site Managers to ensure each site has both a sales strategy and all the required information and tools to achieve it. You will work closely with the Head of Marketing and the Senior Operations team, to ensure all new builds have the tools they require delivering a ‘sale ready’ plan at the earliest possible stage and supporting on-going sales activities.

The ideal candidate will oversee all sales activities within the group by supporting site Managers to mentor their on-site sales teams effectively to deliver the required Annual Operating Plan and will be well informed about competitors and the marketplace and therefore be able to identify potential opportunities and accurately forecast sales predictions and shifts in the marketplace on a national and regional basis.

You will also ensure that financial planning for sales is robust and achievable and designed to achieve required company profit and work closely with the Senior Operations team to maintain the relationship with ARCO.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop the growth sales strategies articulating the associated tactics and clear action plans.  These strategies should be competitive and innovative and focus on each opportunity (Independent & Assisted Living and Care Homes).
  • Work with the Senior Operations team to set annual targets for the Village Advisers and contribute towards development Annual Operating Plan.
  • Monitor effectiveness of sales strategy and provide required reporting on sales activity
  • Understanding customer trends and adapting the strategy/action plan accordingly
  • Forecasting - Keep track of predicted occupancy and form sales plans to adapt to constant shifts
  • Foreseeing and avoiding stagnation of the sales of established sites
  • Co-ordinate and submit weekly sales reports with associated action plan
  • Keep abreast of sales developments within sector and associated sectors.

  • Experience of managing a sales team (directly or indirectly).



  • Knowledge of Health & Social Care legislation in UK;
  • Understanding of UK health and social care systems and regulatory framework and able to effectively influence external stakeholders including sector regulators;
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification.

This will be a permanent post, offering a competitive salary of up to £75,000 per annum, plus car allowance and bonus.
