Following retirement, we are now seeking a new Director of Operations. Reporting to the Care Group Director and accountable to the Chief Operating Officer you will be responsible for the operational management and the delivery of our Urgent Care Group directorate’s performance ensuring that these clinical services meet national and local standards and patient expectations. You will hold day to day responsibility and accountability for the operational management across urgent care services, including: AMU, Short Stay, ED, SDEC & OPE, Cardiology, Gastroenterology Ward, Gynaecology, ICU and Critical Care Outreach, Maternity, Paediatrics including Community Paediatrics, Radiology, Respiratory, Stroke, Virtual Hospital, Management of Emergency Planning Resilience and Responsive (deputising for Trust AO), Site Team and our newly created Single Point of Access Team.

The right candidate will have the vision and drive to take the Care Group forward strategically. They will be innovative, values based and have a strong sense of ambition for the group and the Trust. This role is key to ensuring achieving targets and delivering outstanding patient care. You will be open to partnership working within and outside of the Trust and be able to connect with wider teams, provide stability and share our vision. We are open to candidates with experience gained outside of urgent care.
