A high profile NHS Trust in London is looking for some additional support for 4-6 months to add to the leadership within their Information Governance team.

Main responsibilities:

Effective development and management of the Information Governance Framework;
Developing and implementing the Information Governance Strategy with responsibility and accountability for the development, implementation, delivery and assurance of the Data Security and Protection Toolkit;
Ensuring that the Trust has appropriate policies and procedures in place to meet its statutory duties and legal obligations and will drive the annual Information Governance work programme, incorporating: Information Governance Management; Confidentiality and Data Protection; Information Security; Clinical Information; Secondary Use; Corporate Information; Information Quality; and Records Management.;
Support the Caldicott Guardian and the Senior Information Risk Officer (as appropriate) and provide professional support and advice to all staff on matters relating to information governance.;
As Data Protection Officer, represent the Trust in liaising with the ICO and other statutory bodies as required on all matters relating to privacy, information governance and data protection.

Successful post-holder will have:

Significant experience supporting the development of IG strategy;
NHS experience is desirable but not essential;
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
