West Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust
Chief Operating Officer
At West Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust they promise to put their patients first. Their commitment to every patient, every day, doing their best to ensure they feel safe, in a clean and comfortable environment with highly professional staff who work together to achieve this.
The Trust wants their patients to feel cared for, with a courteous and respectful attitude from kind and helpful staff who have the time to listen and keep them informed at every step. They want them to feel confident that their treatment is provided by skilled and compassionate teams who will involve them in their care and who understand their time is valuable.
In addition, their staff have told the Trust what matters to them: inspirational leadership and management; feeling empowered to make decisions and flourish; relationships and a sense of belonging; every single member of the team feeling appreciated and valued; and where they can face the future, and work through their hopes and fears, together.
The COVID-19 pandemic has shown more than ever the crucial importance of leadership for staff well-being, to ensure the teams are continually supported to provide the safest, most compassionate care. As we now return to ‘closer’ to normal, the Trust knows that the full restoration of services for their patients is paramount. Achieving both of these goals is the overwhelming mission of the NHS as we face a post-pandemic future, and West Suffolk are no different.
Looking to the future the Trust recognises the need for closer working and greater integration of health and care services, in order to provide the very best outcomes for their population. They are also excited to be embarking on the once-in-a-generation journey to build a new health and care campus for West Suffolk, co-producing these plans with staff, stakeholders and partners.
It is to this complex but exciting backdrop that they now seek to appoint their next Chief Operating Officer. The Trust is looking for an exceptional individual who will provide expert, inspirational and professional leadership to their dedicated operational teams, who serve the community through their acute hospital, community services and general practice.
As Chief Operating Officer, you will be integral in helping the Trust address all of these agendas, and more. As part of the leadership team, you will champion a ’just’ culture within the Trust and play a pivotal role in the design and deliver their new healthcare facility. Externally you will hold an influential role within the system, enabling true partnership working with colleagues across the Integrated Care System for Suffolk and North East Essex.
If you are inspired to join West Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust, we would love to hear from you. For an informal discussion, please contact Joe Joyce at email@example.com
