Finegreen are currently supporting a large NHS Trust, who are looking for a senior Financial Accountant for Year End. This post will be to start immediately for an initial period of 3 months.
Key responsibilities will include:
Key member of the Financial team with responsibility for the management and provision of the Trust’s Statutory Accounts and relevant returns ensuring these are accurate, meet financial timescales and legal requirements;
Reporting to the AD of Finance, the post holder will be responsible for the overall management and performance of the Trust’s Financial Accounting Functions. They will need to ensure that relevant returns are accurate and meet financial timescales;
Require project management and forensic accounting techniques to analyse, interpret and provide reports to members of Finance as required;
Responsible for the management and provision of the cash management function which includes accounts receivables, accounts payables, VAT returns, cash and bank functions;
Liaison with other members of staff, from both finance and non-finance departments, and the line management of finance staff as required;
As necessary, advising on the implementation of any national changes, and providing corporate reports and strategic financial and business planning advice to the Trust;
Support the AD of Finance, other senior members of finance and members of the Financial Accounts team as required.
The ideal candidate will have:
CCAB/CIMA Qualified (or equivalent);
Knowledge of and ability to apply and advise others of Trust/NHS financial and other regulations and procedures;
Experience of working in a healthcare setting.
