Interim Procurement Contracts Manager

Job Description

We are working with an NHS organisation who are seeking to appoint an Interim Procurement & Contracts Manager for a short term assignment.

The role will start ASAP and will be for 3 months initially. The role will be remunerated at Band 7 under the NHS Agency capped rates.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Identify and manage best procurement processes for different procurements whilst advising stakeholders of their responsibilities;

  • Lead on contract management with key suppliers;

  • Lead on sourcing, tendering and quotation exercises via the Atamis procurement portal;

  • Undertake, implement, manage and review complex contract activity and commercial arrangements on behalf of the Trust, whilst adhering to Trust, national procurement regulations;

  • Oversee and manage the Trust’s contract register ensuring contract details remain accurate and up to date;

  • Contribute and support management of Procurement workplan;

  • Lead an effective and efficient buying team in order to support and manage the Trust’s purchasing needs.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Business or other relevant degree/professional qualification or able to demonstrate specialist knowledge within this field through practical experience;

  • Relevant experience of working within a procurement environment;

  • Strong evidence of multi discipline stakeholder management, engagement and collaborative

  • decision making on a day-to-day basis working without direct supervision. Responsibility of managing tender processes;

  • Previous experience of using the Atamis Procurement Portal;

  • Previous experience of non-clinical category spend procurement e.g Facilities, Estates, Digital, Corporate.
